The 2008 SWPA-SDAC event and activity itinerary has been announced:

Thank you to our members for all of the participation thus far this show season! SDAC-18 & Carlisle were both high attended events. Let's keep this trend up with the following events scheduled:

 

July

St. John's Car Show, July 20th, 2008 - Taking place at St. John's church in Perryopolis on July 20th from 12 PM to Whenever, rain or shine. $5 per vehicle to enter. Many of our members took part in this show last year even though it stormed and it was a very good time. Clear your calendars if possible to join us for this event so we can have a Steel City Invasion!

August

2008 Mopar Nationals @ National Trail Raceway in Columbus, OH - A number of SDAC members from the Chicagoland, Ohio Valley, Great Lakes, and Buckeye Chapters always make the turnout for this event, so we have tried to create a good attendance number as well. Drag racing and swap meet areas are fantastic venues to attend, along with the car show and Chrysler/Dodge product areas. National SDAC representation is also present at this event. Overall, a great opportunity to meet up with fellow enthusiasts and cruise the town on Saturday evening!

Cedarcreek Car Show - Date yet to be determined. A few members turned out for this event last year and it was a very nice event to attend. Over 300 cars of all different makes and models. Colonial days taking place during this time. Beautiful park to enjoy overall. Additional details to come as soon as they are available.

Cabela's Car Show- Date yet to be determined. Taking place at the store in Wheeling, WV. A few members turned out for this event last year and it was also very nice event to attend. Over 500 cars of all different makes and models. All cars inspected and judged. Plenty of restaurants surrounding the show area set up in their parking lot. Additional details to come as soon as they are available.

September

Brady's Run Picnic with the Buckeye Chapter - Exact date and times to be determined, however, last year's event was fantastic. Perfect weather, a great turnout on part of both chapters, and of course, plenty of TM's to check out. Stay tuned.

October

Ghouls, Ghosts, Goblins, & Gearheads @ PRP - Exact date and times to be determined, however, last year's event was finally a success (after three previous tries to make it happen!). A number of our members raced and we went out to eat afterwards at King's. Join us this year in case you missed it in the past!

December

Christmas Party - Exact date and times to be determined. Always a nice note to end the year watching a Steeler game with members from the club!

2007 Concluding Notes:

SDAC-17 Thanks to all of the participants, as well as all members from the SWPA-SDAC for helping!

Thank you to Rick and Darcy for hosting July's cookout. It was the best attendance record, to date, since our chapter became established, and the event was a pure blast! Thanks also to everyone who attended to make it an enjoyable day.

Thank you to Buckeye  and Steel City Chapter members for making the Brady's Run picnic a wonderful occassion! See you next year!

The Ghouls, Goblins, and Gearheads meet at PRP in October was FINALLY a success! First year in four years of attempts finally paid off. Thanks to Bardo, Chris, Luke, Athena, Pat, Jim, Billy, and Alison for turning out for the racing!

Thank you to the Gallagher's for hosting the annual Christmas party for the third year in a row! Despite a power outage, mediocre snow storm, and the Steelers losing, the event turned out to be a nice, relaxing way of ending the busy 2007 year.

THANK YOU MEMBERS!!! -  2007 resulted in the best year ever for our club, and we're only going to get better and better! Hosting SDAC and having fantastic turnouts at our events truly made this year a success. New members, a lot more events, and even more projects are what we leave this year with and begin with when starting next year's planning. Stay tuned for a meet up date in March 2008! Thank you once again for your support and continued show of enthusiasm.
